Instead of my usual trips to the West Coast, 2007 is a year of trips East! Tonight I'm heading off to Washington DC for some DotNetNuke training with a client, and then on Wednesday I take a train (first time since I was probably 4 or 5) up to New York City. I've been to Washington a few times, most recently last June for the ProSolo event, but I didn't get to do any tourist type stuff, Natalie took all the photos in the link. So I'm hoping to at least walk around for a few hours Tuesday evening taking some cool photos. I've never been to New York, so I'm hoping to get to do some of the major things while I'm there. See the Empire State Building, which I think is a block over from my hotel, as well as visit the site of the World Trade Center, as well as any number of other things I can think of, and hopefully fit in during my alloted time! I'll be back in town on Friday, feverishly working on the 280Z so I can get rid of it this weekend and pick up the 240 from Illinois to get it back home in the garage. In April I'm headed East again, going to Opening Day at Fenway for the 2nd year in a...

Vegas baby, vegas! I know where I'll be for my wife's birthday, in Vegas! Check out Joe Brinkman's blog post for more info, but basically there is a call out for speaker's for the OpenForce '07 conference. I've already submitted a few speaking proposals for the conference, but either way, speaking or not, I'll be there. Hope to see more of the DNN community out there, this is the first DotNetNuke specific conference out there, so be sure to make it!And yes, my wife will most likely be going with me, she wouldn't dare let me go to Las Vegas on her birthday without her! Posted from...

Natalie and I are headed to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend with Bill and a few of his friends. It should be a great time, we went down there a few weeks ago just for part of the day. This time we're headed down for a few days. Then on Monday evening I head to DC for the week to conduct some DotNetNuke training for a new client. I hope to do some site seeing while in DC as the last time I was there it was extremely cold! Though I did get a few cool photos while I was...

I am currently on my 4th trip this year (I could be off 1 or 2), and actually my second trip to Washington DC. I'm sitting at Lambert Airport waiting for yet another delayed flight. I'll be training a new client on the basics of DotNetNuke, and a 3 day introduction to DotNetNuke Module Development. We (Engage Software) are currently looking at revamping our DotNetNuke Training operations. While I like traveling I'm also taking evening classes this fall and being gone for a week of training really hurts when it causes me to miss a whole week of class. Stay tuned later this fall as we announce new DotNetNuke training options and...

I posted a lot of photos we took yesterday and today. Quite a few of Natalie and I, as well as the fire in the sky we got to see for a Sunset Today. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chammond/sets/72157602928388453/   ...

I ended up catching an earlier flight out of St. Louis to Chicago this evening. I got to the gate and sat down as they were loading a flight that was scheduled an hour and a half before mine. I grabbed a pizza to eat for dinner, and came back to see that my flight was delayed by at least a half an hour. So I walked up to the counter after they finished boarding and asked if I could get on the earlier flight. Not a problem, I really do love flying on American Airlines, they are always helpful! So here in I am, in Chicago again for a few days. More blogging later, now I have to prep for my training...

So I got up this morning and headed off to the training. The 2008 VW Rabbit that I'm driving while here said it was 1degree F! I'm not sure I've ever been anywhere this cold...

Well I made it home from Chitown this evening. I got to the airport early with hopes of trying to catch an earlier flight out but didn't have any luck. My flight however was not even half full, which made the wait worth it. I've finally started working on the SQL scripts that I'm hoping to use to convert this site from Community Server to DotNetNuke. I've modified the Engage: Publish module to support Tagging which was the last major feature I needed before I could finish things up. I'll start testing the import this weekend and see how it goes, hopefully I'll have the site converted before the end of next...

Made it to Arkansas. Half the state is flooded, makes for some amazing views, I'll see how the photos turn out, hopefully posted on Flickr tonight.

I think the Days Inn here in Newport Arkansas discriminates against tall people. In order to take a shower and wash my hair I had to shower on my knees because the darn shower head is so short.

Short post, it's late, too much work to do, and I need to get to sleep soon. Nick and I made it to Atlanta, took 11.5-12 hours, too long, stupid traffic!

Over the years of offering and providing DotNetNuke Training I've had the opportunity to train people from and travel to locations all over the United States. I figured it was time to put together a list of some of the locations I've been to and provided training to people from:

I love travelling, but I think I need to plan my trips out a bit better.

I went from 8:30a to 10pm tonight with two different clients. It's enjoyable to say the least, but I am drained, we also start back up at 7am tomorrow.

At 11am I'm off to meet with another client for lunch, then head to the airport to fly back to Atlanta.

We made it to Milwaukee, uneventful trip up, which is always good. Weather isn't looking so hot so far, we'll see if we get to try out the Hoosier Wets tomorrow or not.

It looks like New York in two weeks will be a Family affair! The New England clan will be driving/flying? down to join me at the Red Sox Yankees game on the 26h at Yankees Stadium. I'll repeat the process in Boston a month later as I have a pair of tickets to two games at Fenway in the final regular series of the 2008 season, also against the damn Yankees.
