Stone Temple Pilots in St. Louis, the review

Chris, Loved the show. Agree with your comments on Saliva. They really energized the lawn which was fairly mellow before and after until STP started. Here is the set list per my recollection. Seems like I missed one, but I am not sure. STP wasn't as great as I had expected Sunday night. That was my first time ever watching them in concert. I thought SW sounded off beat, like he couldn't count the beats and couldn't synch himself to them. I am an STP fan by far, but I was really not impressed by the concert. Scott looked like a singing blonde skeleton. The man needs to eat a cheeseburger. Not that it at all had any effect on the music (his weight that is). I think he could have been better.. Maybe he just needed to take a few more hits? Saliva in my opinion was the best one out there. I do happen to like Chevelle, but do not own their album. I wasn't as impressed with them as I was with Saliva. I saw a bit of Cavo on the sidestage, and I fail to see the hype behind them. I missed Copperview, which I happen to like, but eh, my loss I suppose. I will have to say, for never have seeing any of the bands that played that day/night, the whole concert wasn't as enjoyable as I expected. I had a good time, I made the most of it. I think I can contribute that to the company I kept that day.. not the music.

I absolutely loved the show. Wow! Can Scott Weiland sing! That man is so talented. They couldn't have sounded better that night.
