Jack Daniel’s Honey Marinade for filet

In prep for the 4th of July 2016, I am working on a Marinade for the filets we picked up at Costco today. The base for the marinade is Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey. I’ll follow up with an update on how this turns out, but here’s what I started with, the night before:

Ingredients (repeat 2x)

  • 1/2 cup Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
  • 2 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 2tsp of salt
  • 1tsp of crushed red pepper
  • 3 dashes of garlic salt
  • 1tbsp of kc BBQ rub

Directions

Bring all the ingredients to a boil, let simmer for 5-7 minutes, stir frequently. Place in glass tray/dish, place filet in solution, create second batch (same count of ingredients) repeat and poor over filets.
